On another note, here are the Makeup School’s top tips for long lasting bridal beauty:
- use a foundation primer. Laura Mercier’s primer has been a staple in our makeup bags for years and the oil – free version is great for keeping shine down in the summer heat. Apply a pea sized amount over your moisturiser for a flawless face all day long
- define brows but don’t forget to soften them by brushing through with a brow groomer. Pencils work best, try MAC and Laura Mercier for great natural looking colours
- for long lasting eyeshadow use a base first to prevent creasing. For a natural look try the Laura Mercier eye basics or MAC paint pots. Pick a colour to match your skin tone, these dry very quickly and hide eyelid discolouration for a bright eyed look. Sometimes these are all you need for a stunning natural look!
- Use a peachy nude lipliner to add shape and definition to your lips. Blend into the lip with a clean lip brush then apply the lipstick or gloss of your choice. We love MAC Spice and Laura Mercier lipliner in Chestnut.
- Don’t forget highlighter! We are not talking about glitter but a really smooth soft glossy shimmer that will reflect the light and sculpt bone structure. NARS Copacabana, BECCA illuminator in Pearl and the Laura Mercier shimmer quad in Peach are our top picks.
- Finally make sure your mascara is a gentle waterproof formula. Stila’s Stay All Day Water -resistant volumising mascara is amazing for luscious glossy lashes.
